Hey friends im looking to build some "woodie planes" and would like to know if anyone has some wood on hand that I can buy local instead of supporting someone else. Im looking for some cherry for the body and Wenge for the soles. Lookint at 12/4 for the cherry and 4/4 for the Wenge. Let me know if anyone has some stock for sale. God bless

I have some 4/4 Quartersawn Wenge that should be here either Monday or Tuesday. I got 150Bf but might be able to spare some.

I got some flat sawn from the woodworkers shop in Raleigh. But Quartersawn seems to be harder to find and more costly so I ordered a large amount from a wholesaler about a week ago.

Michael, I have some 16/4 cherry that has been drying for about 4 years or so. How much do you need? Actually, what I have is rough 4"x4" x 10'. I need some of it, but would be interested in discussing it with you.
