Talking Re: need shavings for horse stalls

Hey Tarhead, I have a chipper coming out today to chip up a bunch of slab wood. He is going to be here at around 12:30pm today. I will have a good bit of it and your welcome to some of it. I will be using some myself but nowheres near all of it.

Re: need shavings for horse stalls

Randy,
Not my ad. Please reply to the craigslist posting. They never did respond to my email...my piddly 30 gallons of shavings wasn't worth the effort I guess. I do want some of their "conditioned" sawdust for my compost pile though if they reply to you.
Mark

Re: need shavings for horse stalls

Tarhead,

If you have a window manufacturer near you, they can be a good resource. That is where we get ours. They deliver by the trailer load, and they are very cheap, and all pine shavings.

Good Luck. Hay and shavings get harder to find every year.

Re: need shavings for horse stalls

I'm pretty sure that this request should be aimed at production shops or factories only. You could easily put a couple of yards of shavings down in each stall. About 20 to 30 percent of that would need to be refreshed each day

Re: need shavings for horse stalls

Thanks everyone for the replies. By posting the text from the ad I confused everyone. I apologize! I have deleted the text from the CL ad which made it appear that this was "my" request. I was just relaying the ad's info so you didn't have to click unless you were interested.

I don't need any shavings!!! I am fortunate to be able to recycle the ones I make in the woods behind my house. Need any termites? Got plenty of fat and happy ones back there.
