I am trying to find some Magnolia or Tulip Poplar that is around 14" wide and 6/4 thick. Preferably at least air dried. Please e-mail me if you have some. I could possibly use 5/4.

Re: Magnolia or Tulip Poplar

I've got 8/4 magnolia but it's only about 11 inches wide. How long a piece do you need?

Re: Magnolia or Tulip Poplar

Length is not important as I will be cutting it into 14" lengths for plates. Is is dry and how thick is it?

Re: Magnolia or Tulip Poplar

I know I don't have any 6/4 but I think I've got some wide 8/4 yellow poplar on sticks under the leanto that should be air dry. Let me check the width tomorrow and I'll get back to you. I don't know anyone who messes with Magnolia except for firewood, it's usually stacked full of knots and not really good for lumber unless you can get a good log.
