Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get a small amount (100 bf) of oak kiln-dried near Greenville, SC?

Re: Kiln Drying

dehumidifier and a tarp tent or better yet look at Daren's EBay plans for a 300 BF dehumidifier kiln. I can personally vouch for Daren, he's a straight shooter and will not take advantage of anyone.

You might want to call Bill and Gwen Watt at Carolina Lumber Sourcing. I believe they are right there in Greenville, SC.

http://www.lumbersourcing.com/

They are members of our site and are great folks to work with.

They may have access to a kiln or recommend someone near you.

BTW.

Welcome to site. Drop by the "Who we Are" forum and tell us a little about yourself.

Re: Kiln Drying

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. As luck would have it, I'm in the process of replacing the windows in my house and so I have a pile of old storm windows that I could convert into a small solar kiln. Before I launch into that though I'll give Carolina Lumber Sourcing a call. Thanks again.

Re: Kiln Drying

I am tad far away, but I do have a dry kiln and run wood frequently. Charge depends of volume.
