Re: holy mackeral!

That's wild. It looks a bit like a North Carolina Woodworker lumber run at the HF parking lot except with sand and Pine, and Fred didn't get bonked.
That's a lot of dang lumber there. I bet it has the MC of stuff you get at Lowe's.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Re: holy mackeral!

Wow, to bad I live to far away from the beach, I would be waiting for my day when that happens. I could build........ Oh wait I 'll just get it from the builders here on my street, there's supposed to be at least 5 more going up, should get plenty of wood and used nails, well unused nails that lost the front nail. Ha ha ha

Thanks for the video it was funny!

Even if that happened here on the coast there is laws that say you can't remove anything from beach except 1 gallon of shells or a handfull of fish and the fish have to be within strict limits that change every hour.Tony

Re: holy mackeral!

Looks nice to get some free wood, but I am not going back to my birth place just for that. Nice to see it again though, has not changed much. Still cold and wet.

Re: holy mackeral!

Saw the news story a couple of days ago where some freighter had lost a bunch of lumber in heavy seas. I wondered if it would wash up somewhere or if it would become water logged and sink.

On top of that, the state would have to pay overtime to have state employees clean it up. Then there is the landfill fees for dumping the wood.
