I can't see what the pen is, but the watch looks like mahogany or sapele. DaveO will probably chime in with a definitive answer!

Y'all put too much faith in me If it's a tree, yea I know it, but once milled, turned and finished I am not so reliable.
But Ed, I would 100% agree with your diagnosis, at least on the watch. Can't see the pen well enough.

I think that wood is from a far away strange land, cause it don't looking nothing like any American wood that I've seen.
