There is a pine in my parents' yard next door that is wrapped up with ivy. It's taking over the tree top and the concern is the tree will eventually fall on the house. The ivy's been sprayed several times but is rooted in the bark and the tree is easily 80'. The tree is roughly 30" dbh with at least 4 good 16' logs which should yield around 1100 - 1200 bf.
We can have the tree cut down, but I'm not going to do it until I've found someone to use the wood. The wood could be sawn here on the farm. There's enough lumber to frame a house!
Anyone want it for free? You won't have to cut the tree down nor clean up the limbs. You will have to pay the sawyer and move the lumber.
I don't need the wood and have nowhere to store it (but if I did...!) No rush right now to get it cut - sometime in the next year. |
