Thinking maybe some step stools, coffee tables, etc. What is some good wood to start out with and where should I get it? Also, what is a good price to pay? As you can tell I know nothing about this stuff. Just need to know where to start. |

I build it from construction grade lumber, And put a nice coat of urethane on it. It has seen two teen age boys putting ther feet and drinks on it. Now it's there turn to to try and keep there children's drinks and feet off of it.

On the main bar at the top of the page, you will find the words 'Where are ?' Click on it and look under wood suppliers. Check out some of the websites for prices, if you want a better deal, check out,and contact, your local sawyers. The local sawyers will usually have much better prices, but not always as good of a selection, especially if you want kiln dried. Most of what I need can and is supplied by local sawyers.
Also watch the posts for jeffs KD runs (kiln dried), He comes down to Harbor Freight on a Sat. or Sun. morning once in a while. His prices are good and so is his quality, you order ahead (through the posts) and aren't obliged to buy if you don't like his stuff. It's also a great place to meet fellow NCWWs.
I hope this helps a little.
Jimmy
