Re: Chestnut logs

200 years old, huh. Do you accept first-borns as payment??? Sounds like quite a find. Even if there are a few of them that nobody is interested in, I would like to see if I can make anything with them.

Thanks for the update, and I will look for the pics.

Re: Chestnut logs

I do have a guy that would be willing to buy them in Atlanta. He does high end stuff for Neiman Marcus. If you are still interested in selling them send me an email with pictures and I will forward to my customer to contact you directly and y'all can talk price.

Re: Chestnut logs

I still would like to get a few of them on my wood mizer, open em up and see what we find. Heck we could make a sawyer party out of it. Would be cool to get David and Kyle together over a couple saw logs... . I have a tandem axle trailer, maybe we could load a few of them up and swing by Kyle's. It would be worth my time and gas to meet you guys in person. If there's a way to load em on my LT40 manual, I could bring that instead of the trailer. let me know what you guys think. I'm real interested in seeing a few pics and what condition the logs are in...

Re: Chestnut logs

It looks like there may be a good amount of wood salvagable from those beams. I look forward to seeing what happens with them and the wood that results.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.
