We have some in front of our house that I'm either gonna move or chop out due to their wonderful cat-urinelike smell.

You got cats in your neighborhood? We had several English Boxwoods at one of our prior homes, and there was no smell at all. Of course, we were on the edge of a farmer's pasture and the cows hung around alot. We didn't notice any plant smells at all -- even the roses and honeysuckle.
