Well I started squaring up some of the QS Black Locust I took to Scott over the summer, errr... this is most defiantly hardwood, I'm thinking I might as well go grab some bricks they would be softer. At Janka 1700 is nearly identical in hardness to Padauk, which I've seen a lot of you guys work.

Any tips beside ultra sharp tooling or am I merely beating a dead horse?

Thanks

Don't know there Fred - what's it's MC now? BTW you may want to ask santa for a surface grinder this year so you have it ready when you start working it (snicker). Is there a chance I could trade you a few 4/4's for one of your 12/4's? I think it might be easier to make my 2x2 legs that way...

Thanks
