Wood movement calculator

For anyone interested, I found this link awhile back. Has proven to be very helpful in calculating differences in tangential movement when combining different species of wood.

That looks like a useful tool. I have downloaded for future use.

Re: Wood movement calculator

There is a site devoted to on-line woodworking information and calculators of various sorts. It is called the Woodbin at www.woodbin.com

The calculate sag in wood (Shelves, etc) called "Sagulator"
www.woodbin.com/calcs/sagulator.htm

To calculate wood movement due to moisture content change called "Shrinkulator".
www.woodbin.com/calcs/shrinkulator.htm

The home page of the site has lots of other woodworking related info and reference materials such as standard dimensions of furniture which are helpful.
