I've a lot of Tapcons to install, so I started looking into buying a hammer drill. In the past, I've just rented a big Milwaukee for the few holes I needed to bore. But with a big project coming up I started looking at reviews on-line and decided to try the Ridgid 5013 from Home Depot.
It's 5#, corded, switch selectable (drill or hammer) with a 1/2" keyed chuck. First day, I bored 25-30 1/4" X 2" holes in brick and concrete block (CMUs). Each hole took less than 5 seconds. Just oozed on in. Since it also spins up to 2,700 RPMs, I next punched some pocket holes. Worked great. At $99.00 with the LSA (if it's any good!) I think it's a good buy.

I think you got a good buy. I have a low end Bosch that I paid I think $150 for and had to return and exchange it for another as it didn't hold up.

That's an excellent drill, Joe. YOU ROCK!
I purchased one last year because my old B&D finally gave up the ghost!
I had to drill about 30-2" holes in 4" thick material and it ran flawlessly. For $99 I'm more than satisfied...
