Hi all
Just a couple of pics of my newest jewelry box.The box is black walnut.The background is bookmatched walnut and bird's eye maple;The cardinal is bloodwood; The beak is pink ivory;The face and feet are ebony; The leaves are lignum vitae; The flowers are holly;The branches are zericote and the flower centers are pau-amerillo. 27 pieces not counting the box.



The penny is for reference.

That's beautiful! Is the cardinal mostly one piece with the wings and tail feathers cut but not separated? An excellent job!

Thanks--The cardinal is one piece with the feathers and wing details carved in with a dremel tool.
