Here are a few of the Christmas ornaments I'm working on for next season. As you can tell they are "mini's" ranging from 4" to 6" tall. Will post photos when I get them painted. Thanks for looking.

Very nice work, Chuck!
I've always enjoyed seeing carved charicatures. They always make me smile. (Maybe I see too many of my friends and family in the faces )

Chuck,

Those are wonderful! What tools do you use to carve them, and about how long does one take you to do?

Re: A Few Mini's

Thanks for the comments guys. Jim, when are we going to see photos of those new cabinets installed in your shop. Boy! You really got a deal on those. Matt. I'm a little slow so it takes me a couple of hours on each one, longer when the Super Bowl is on. LOL I use a detail knife, a couple of different gouges. a V tool and a bandaid when necessary, If you look close you can see one on my finger, which got in the way of one of my gouges. You both do some fantastic woodworking.

Thanks, Chuck

Re: A Few Mini's

Hey Chuck,

Really nice work...plus you don't have to worry about dust! That is my present worry.
Looks like Sleepy, Dopey, Happy...and Me.

What wood are you using for your carvings?

P.S.
Your nom de plume should be "woodchuck!"

Re: A Few Mini's

Thanks all for the compliments. Will definitely post when they are painted. Robert, I like the suggestion - "WoodCHUCK" I believe I will change it.

Great looking stuff as usual. If you want to change your user ID one of the staff will have to do it for you, I would be honored to help you with that.
