I picked up some free cherry and I am willing to give up the lion's share, including a nice burl and a crotch, to someone who will take it and cut me a couple of large carving blanks. I have the aforementioned burl, crotch, a big round and a couple of small logs (maybe 10") about 6' long. I will add pictures shortly. they are fresh cut and unsealed; hence my urgency. I will use TB-III if i don't find someone to help me that can take them tonight or early tomorrow.

I think I will hang on to the small log (on the right) to split for bow staves. Everything else is yours if you will cut me a couple of sections out of the other log.

Andy,

If you need them cut up with a chainsaw, let me know. I could also use the blanks.

Gonzalo didn't take the slice; prtly due to the rest being so much and partly because we didn't measure it.

There is a thread on it here:

http://www.ncwoodworker.net/forums/f...e-slice-24814/

I am hoping someone will PM me and take it this morning. I have not sealed it and I would not want it to get too hot and crack.
