This is a small maple vase that I turned from a bump that was on a round of maple I cored some nice bowls from. They are still drying, but this one dried in a couple weeks since I turned it to finial thickness to start. It has a little of everything. It is 4 1/2" tall by 3 1/4" in dia. Finished with deft. This little vase is thin enough so that you can see light thru it from top to bottom.

REALLY nice HF. I still find it amazing what you find inside a old chuck of wood. I think that is what I like about turning so much. You really brought out the beauty in this piece.
