It was going to be another HF attempt, but the knot gave me some trouble and it got skinny.

As pictured, just one coat of real tung oil; it will get more.

Nice save Andy - I like working with Cherry - I have a couple of burls I don't know what I am going to do with yet - I might let them dry out some more and attempt some bottle stoppers out of them - they are not very big ones

BTW, this was another "tenon glued into a mortised faceplate" projcet and I took my time to make sure I had a secure join. A chuck would be a lot more convenient but I like the added security. It didn't budge off center when I cleaned up the end.

Hi Andy, nice vase, the wood looks great, I always wanted to work some Cherry but never got the chance yet, Cherry does'nt grow in Hawaii, oh well. keep up the good work, aloha.
