Hi everyone, this is my big home made lathe it can turn up to 4 feet 8 inches in dia. and it has a 3 hp motor going through a old jeep transmission, I even have reverse, it has a cam action tool rest too, I have a tailstock for it but I have never needed to use it yet.
The big bowl is a Spaulted curly Mango bowl that I am almost finished with, it measures about 17 inches in diameter and about 14 inches tall. Enjoy the pictures, aloha.

Wow that is awesome, did you build it yourself???? The curly Mango bowl has some outstanding figure, some of the best I have ever seen. I am highly jealous right now

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

That is a beautiful piece of wood. Looking forward to see the finished piece.

By the way, would you be interested in adopting a 50 year old, overweight son who like woodworking?
