Got Tools!

I know no pix didn't happen! But it did " it's my gloat and I'm sticken to it".Due to the great brotherhood & sisterhood of this site.And many many thanks to thrt15nc for the drawing.And DaveO for the delivery.Come Sunday I will be the Proud owner of a HF lathe.Well I went to Hf today and picked up some chisels.I got the set of 8 hss. So it want be long till I'm letting the chips fly.Mabe Dave will have his camera Sunday for the handoff.

Man I can't wait!.Thanks for all the positive in put.Yep I felt that pull everysense Monty turned my first wooden pen.And Ed I'll be taking you up on that offer.I should be able to get a few more things I will need.Came home from work today and my wonderful wife handed me $200.Should help out.

Well it's official I'm a member of the dark side.Met with DaveO today and picked up the lathe.Thanks Tom for the drawing and Thanks Dave for the transport! Dave sent me a pm as to what I would need to get started turning pens.Yep you guessed it they have been ordered form Pennstate.Should be here this week "I hope". Yes I have already made some dust with it too.

Yep, it happened.....but by the time I had packed up the family for our vacation roadtrip I had buried the camera. It just wasn't worth digging out to photograph to ugly guys standing around in a Zaxbys parking lot.

The real proof will be something round coming off that lathe
