Just playing around this morning and decided to make some more bottle stoppers for Christmas. This is Cocobolo and I decided to try a captive ring. I had never made a ring before, so here is a first. While finishing I began to wonder if, after too many bottles at one time, will someone catch a finger in the ring, drop the bottle on the floor, cut themself, go to hospital, be admitted, and miss Christmas. Wow, captive rings come with a big responsibility.

Charles, I have been waiting for something special to make my 1000th post.

Your Bottle Stopper with captive ring sure qualifies. Now....how did you do it?
I've made a few Bottle Stoppers but have never thought about a captive ring.

Charles very cool, I like it a lot. Did you use a captive ring tool or just wing it???

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Very cool, I've been wanting to try a captive ring sometime, now I have an excuse.
