I use mine a lot, it's excellent for hogging off material.

A++++ one of my favorites. Great for removing material quick, or squaring up an end.

I don't have one, but after watching that turning show on PBS a few times, I would want one if I had a good chuck. The guy on the show has his ground exactly at the correct angle for the jaws and it makes a tenon of the perfect depth (he still has to gauge diameter, of course).
