Ridgid Planer Knives
There has been a lot of discussion about the availability (or the unavailability) of replacement knives for the Ridgid TP1300 and the newer Ridgid R4330. Especially on the Ridgid forum. This dilemma has kept some people from buying these lunchbox planers. I was in the Home Depot in Hickory yesterday and they had both sets in stock on the shelf. Just thought I would provide a heads up. This is the only store I have been able to find them in. They may be stocked in all stores now. I haven't looked lately though, just happened upon them yesterday. Hope this helps someone. .gif)

Re: Ridgid Planer Knives
Tracy, I guess this means you don't want me to pick you up a set?

Re: Ridgid Planer Knives
Uuuhhhh, yeah! . Picked up a set for my 4330. Now I see they are also offered on their web site. That is a new addition also. 'Bout time.

Re: Ridgid Planer Knives
Never had a problem myself by ordering them direct from Ridgid. Just called the 800 line and gave them the magic VISA numbers. I was not too thrilled with the shipping however, so I wound up ordering two sets. The knives aren't cheap either, but then why should they be? And after replacing a set I was left wondering why they were not supposed to be resharpened as they sure looked as if they could be. Next time I am down at the BORG I will check out the shelves so thanks for the tip ...
