Quickly, I Need Info on Gray RIDGID Jointer
I came across an 6" Ridgid jointer, gray in color, in Aiken SC (3.5 hr trip one way for me). 45" bed, can do 1/2" rabbet, 1 HP, 120/220.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Ridgid-6-1-8-joi...QQcmdZViewItem
Less than 12 hours left on the auction. Current bid is $175, Buy It Now $250.
Does anyone know if the gray models are of the quality of the orange models?

Tom, Don't forget to factor in the $50 (or more) for gas. Also note that 6" jointers frequently come to market when the owner steps up to 8".

Re: Quickly, I Need Info on Gray RIDGID Jointer
Oh, I always factor in the cost or delivery, or picking it up. I've been in contact with a few folks, and no one wants to go under $350.
I won it for $225 (plus a set of extra knives). All I need is directions to pick it up, and whether I need to bring help to load it. I always travel with tie-downs in my truck, but will have to remember to bring a tarp for the trip home.
Of course, I will take along a piece of wood, so I can verify how good it works before loading. I can use this as a benchmark for its performance post-trip.
