I scored this USA made Delta 28-203 14" off ebay for a shade over $300. The guy even delivered to my house for free......it has seen very little use.....NO RUST ANYWHERE ON IT !

It cuts WONDERFULLY after a little cleaning & tuning. It does need a new blade though. Tracking is spot on and vibration is minimal.

I just ordered a new set of Carter urathane tires, cool blocks and (2) blades from Olson. This should finish her up nicely !

I am wondering if I should go ahead and get a new link belt. I have never tried one and have heard good things about'em......any opinions ?

Do it.
BTW, YOU ROCK!
That's about as close to Delta Green as they had on the color chart.

Looks like you go a great deal. When it is time for more blades check out the wood slicer sold by Highland Hardware (one of our site sponsors). They are second to none.

Good lick, Worm! You'll like her a lot! Yep, get the link belt. You won't be sorry. Add a magnet light and you're good to go! Congrats!

That's a great machine...and for the price it just got sweeter.
Will you be adding the 6" riser? If so, do it before you start picking up blades.

Re: New toy day.......WHOOT !

Sweet!!

As for the link belt, they are nice, but if you aren't getting a lot of vibration, I say save the cash, plus if you do the link belt, are you going to get a set of balanced pulleys?

Re: New toy day.......WHOOT !

Well.......after cleaning/tuning my new Delta all I can say is................................WOW !

She runs and cuts like nobody's business. Very quiet with no vibration ! Here are the WELL WORTH upgrades I opted for:

1. Olson cool blocks
2. Olson pro-series 1/4" 6tpi raker blade
3. Accu-Link belt (the green has the mojo !)

I ripped a 2x6 (4' length) down the middle and the cut was so smooooooooooooooth ! dead accurate with NO tooth tracks.................ME'S HAPPY !!!!!

Re: New toy day.......WHOOT !

Great deal. When you're ready for more blades check Woodcraft Bands
It's a N.C. business and John is a great guy to deal with. His prices on bimetal blades is very good.

Re: New toy day.......WHOOT !

I have the same saw. Funny, but the guy I bought it from 6 years ago found me on another forum and offered to buy it back.

One upgrade I added was the Carter tension release lever.
