It's DaveO's fault

I was sanding along a few weeks ago, and all of a sudden my RAO sander decides to die.

Ok well I have had it for a while, so I gave it a burial and laid it to rest. ( I threw in the trash)

That evening I am reading one of my new woodworking rags and low and below they have tested a bunch of RAO sanders.
That got my attention so I read the article.
Next day DaveO makes a posting in another topic indicating this article.
I just found it too funny.
I had just ordered the #2 pick.

Here she is. Gave it a test run for about 10 minutes yesterday. Not bad at all.
I really like that they give you two different mounting pads.
1. for Hook and loop type pads
and
2. another pad for the stick on sand paper.
Man that is really neat.
the variable speed control is kind of cool too. I think what I really liked was that I was sanding with 60 grit and all of the dust was being trapped by it's dust collector.
I think that I might just like this one.

I saw that article also, Mac. Where did you find the Milwaukee?

Re: It's DaveO's fault

Amazon.com and it's allot cheaper than the Porter Cable that was rated number one.
But the difference between the two didn't justify the expense

I think you made the better choice too. I can see holding the PC on vertical surfaces to be a chore without the neck to grasp.

I'll take this one in stride. Now I wish I was in the market for a new ROS. The Milwaukee sems like a great buy.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Nice score Mac!

I KNOW that Bas has influenced me into buying tools, I'm not sure about Dave though. Oh well, it'll happen sooner or later.
