I know how that goes, if you remember what I paid for my 20" Delta last fall! A Shelix would cost about 4 times what I paid for that planer!!!!

But you know, I was shocked with the poor cut the first time I ran a board through the 20" after having just installed sharp new blades and aligning everything to w/in .003!!!! I forgot that without a Shelix I had to start thinking about grain and feed direction of the wood again, which I didn't need to do much of with the Shelix!!!! If I was "in the business" however, there would be no question, a Shelix would be on that thing in a heart beat; no waiting for any stinkin' economic stimulus rebate.

Re: Grizzly green sighting in my shop! (gloat)

The deal just got a little sweeter, with an extra set of knives for the planer and several big rolls of sandpaper for the sander. All FREE!!!!

Well, I reckon you managed to get it all unloaded OK.

Nice score

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Yes, Thanks for the offer to help. I found a neighbor to help. It took all of 2 minutes total. A long way for you to drive. I even managed to get the sander on the casters myself and a little physics.

Tom, I'm GREEN with envy and jealousy! Awesome finds -- you'll love the drum sander, especially if you can get the VS conveyor drive worked out. They come standard on my Woodmaster (a 26" single drum I picked up 18 months ago for $750) and it really gives you great control on the finish.
