It's like the magic of Christmas. You're down in the shop miscutting some wood, you go upstairs for a coffee break and all of a sudden you see a big box in front of the door!

Thanks to Wayne (Canuck) for helping me decide what to get. This concludes our regular scheduled router upgrades, back to the show.

Things are ROCKIN' in Cary! You should enjoy that new router, Bas. You just need a few hundred BITS so you won't be too limited in the type of work you can do...

Bas, you just gotta love those multi-base router sets. The best of both worlds.

Now if only I could find router bits that will last as long as my Milwaukee......

Congratulations Bas, I own a few routers but have found that the multi-base set gets the most use.

You will like that set Bas I have one base mounted for table use and use the D-handle base for hand held use, and think you now have 3 different ways to mess up the project.

Oh, the number of ways in which I can mess up a project far, far exceed 3.

Re: All three base are belong to us....

Kudos on the new router kit (very good taste BTW).

Just curious...you actually admit that you SOLD a router?? What's up with that?

Who are you and what have you done with Bas?

Chuck

Nice Router Bas. Same one I have. I love the low profile on the fixed base and the vacuum attachments for the plunge.

That's another feature that really sold me on this combo kit. The plunge base is comparable to some other routers (such as the Bosch), but the fixed base has the lowest center of gravity of all of them. The soft start feature is also great. I'm still careful of course, but between this one and my Milwaukee, I no longer "fear" the router.

I had the chance to use the router in the shop today, man what a joy to use. I put the groove 1/2" off center, but it was straight and smooth and easy to cut I think I'll write DeWalt and ask if they can add a fourth base, the one that auto-adjusts to route in the RIGHT place
