Smile 18-inches of gloat

I was not in control when the disease took a hold of my sanity and caused me to purchase a tool that is a tight fit in my little garage shop

In any case, it's a gloat that I didn't see coming ...

Picked up an Woodmaster 718, with a nice collection of molding knives, at a super sweet price. Seems to be in decent condition -- just needs a little cleanup and rust removal. Has a 5HP Leeson motor and variable speed power feeder. The drum sander attachment has never been touched. And with 18" of cutting width ... it's going to be a real chip maker!

Hopefully I'll have some time soon to clean it up a bit. The guy had it in storage for a year or more, and now has to move out of state and unloaded it at a great price.

Here's the proof (pics from my cell phone, sorry if the quality isn't up to par):

Also picked up this little tool for $10 ... which I hope actually works!

That was a great deal. You got a lot of stuff there!
You got that one quick too. Is Craig's List your home page?

Lesson with CraigsList ... check often, move fast. They posted it at 7:40pm, and I was on the phone with them within the hour. Arranged pickup first thing in the morning as they said "first come, first serve". Seemed like an unheardof deal, so I decided to move fast.

Happy Father's Day to me.

Re: 18-inches of gloat

I must say that's a pretty good grab, Jeremy -- I have a Woodmaster 26" drum sander that I bought used and I really like it -- and since the Model 718 goes for $1,695 these days, you copped a sweet deal for $300! -- heck the knives and sand paper supply is worth more than that!

And yes,
YOU ROCK!

Re: 18-inches of gloat

Let me know when you realise it will not fit and I will do you favor and take it off your hands for $50.00.

Actually I was a little worried about opening a thread talking about an 18" gloat.

Sorry, I already told him I offer a $100 return on his investment!

Can't wait to see it all cleaned up!

Very good deal! Congrats!

BTW, you seem to be the craigslist king lately. I remember you hopping on a Fuji not long ago as well.
