I got a flyer for what looks like a superb auction of Antique Tools and Primitives to be held at 9:30 AM on May 10th in Fair Play, SC (Exit 4 off I-85 near the Georgia border). You can download the catalog listing of items from www.yoderandyoder.com and see if there are items you may be looking for. There is even a Stanley #1 plane on the list (just verify that it is authentic before you buy it -- the threaded adjuster screw must be parallel to the sole of the plane or it is a fake -- see Patrick's Blood and Gore site for the details on Stanley plane identification).

There's lots of old tools that make this an attractive event for serious collectors. I'm not affiliated with Yoder and Yoder, just passing this along. There is a 10% buyer's premium and sales tax.

I got that flyer too! Looks like it may be worth the trip. Haven't had a chance to look too closely at the auction items yet.
