Thumbs up Wood Donation

Hi All,

I dropped off a bunch of very pretty non-steamed walnut cut-offs for the lathe-lovers at Woodcraft yesterday afternoon.

This stuff came from the solid walnut partner-desk I'm doing (much rather be building rockers)...a lot of it is 5/4"X2"X 15" chunks plus some square end board cut-offs. I'll try and gets some pics of the desk work-in-progress posted soon.

Have fun

Don

Re: Wood Donation

Super nice gesture ...

The WC in Charlotte should offer this (my trash, your treasure). I'm sure it gets people back in the store looking for any kind of freebie they can get (then hopefully realize they need something else!)

Re: Wood Donation

Klingspor's in Charlotte has a grab bin, often with some pretty nice sapele.

Re: Wood Donation

That is a great thing you did there. Donating wood for the pleasure of other woodworkers
