Finally finished the chair and moved it into the house. I sprayed 5 coats of polycrylic on it for final finish. I'm going to let it sit awhile and then do a final super fine sand on it. The cushions were made by Mark at AFC Upholstery in Raleigh. It's very comfortable.

Re: WIP - Chair Finished

Very nice Tom, looks mighty comfy. Did you make the other chair next to it?

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Awesome work! Did you bend or veneer the curved arms?

Re: WIP - Chair Finished

Thanks for all the nice compliments. Dave, I didn't make the other chair. The experience of buying that chair made for making this one. IIRC we paid about $1400 for that chair. We wanted another chair for here, and mine wasn't near that much $$$ and I had fun making it.

The arms are 3 pieces glued together over a form. All white oak.

Thanks again!!

Tom
