I need to design a pen blank storage / drying rack - with storage for filled flat rate envelopes. I'd kinda like it to be about 7' tall with slide out drawers for storage of various species of blanks that have not yet been packed in envelopes. This will not be a furniture project but more of a plywood thingy.

Can you guys point me at some simple plans.

Thanks

I doubt that you find any plans for something that unique I would think about using some wire shelving material from the BORG, mount that in a wooden frame with tongues on the sides to act as slides. The wire shelving would be light weight, and allow good air flow to help dry or keep the blanks dry and straight. Those "drawer" assemblies could go into a simple plywood carcass with dadoes to accept the tongues on the "drawer" sides. Put everything on some small casters and you're all set.

My $.02, Dave

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Dave that BORG wire mesh is a great idea, glad I posted the question - I would have never thought of that.

Last time I was over at State Surplus, they had a "food tray rack", but no trays. Best I can remember the price was less than $20. It is on casters and the sides have an angle about every inch and a half. Trays rests on angles. It would be easy to make needed trays.
