I am getting ready to try to build a small jewelry box for the LOML out of cedar. Do any of you have photos or plans for a project such as this? I think it should be about 12" wide, and four inches deep and four inches from front to back. I would like to try to put a couple of dividers in it. She does not wear or have a lot of jewelry so size can be of a smaller variety. Thanks in advance for your help

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Re: Small Jewelry Box Ideas?

My WIP is a cedar wall-hung armoire, so my dimensions are too big...

Or something like this.

Pretty simple, 45 degree corners joined by biscuts, top and bottoms are rabbited in.

OK, it's not really a jewelry box, but it's cedar

Re: Small Jewelry Box Ideas?

In the member's gallery I just posted pictures of my granddaughter's jewelry box. The glorified plano tacklebox trays can be reconfigured. I will post pictures of another box for another granddaughter later. Enjoy

Re: Small Jewelry Box Ideas?

David, nice 3-point miters on that box. I haven't tried them yet.....angles tend to screw me up fast.

Re: Small Jewelry Box Ideas?

After the pictures were uploaded they looked a little washed out but you get the idea.
