I have actually been in the shop lately ... but the pictures have been slow coming. So I'm going to catch up ...

As you may recall in a previous thread, I build a TV stand for my buddy. However, what I didn't follow-up to tell you about was how his measurements were incorrect and the audio equipment wouldn't fit on the shelf (too tall). And then when I tried to make the "fix" I used a dull router bit and it broke one of the rails in half. I though I was SOL since it was built with mortise/tenons and was already glued up and dry. Fortunately, I was able to salvage it and his co-worker is going to buy it off me!

And this is the second TV stand which stands a bit taller and some re-design elements.

With a little boy on the way (4 weeks!), the LOML wanted a baseball themed shelf for the books in his room. We opted on a wall-hung shelf and his is the near final product.

And my daughter (2 years old) need a way to get into the beds I built her. So, daddy decided a wooden step stool was in order. It's white oak with a purple heart trim.

Okay... I'm caught up, I think.

Re: Recent Projects w/ Pics

Lots of great projects Jeremy! I'm surprised you've had time to work on stuff with all the tool buying Good to hear you were able to salvage the TV stand, nothing worse than spending all that time and wood and have it go to waste.

Dude, I'm just glad my wife doesn't keep up with what gets done in everybody else's shops...she'd wonder what was wrong with me.

Looks GREAT! I'm glad you were able to get something out of that TV stand.

Re: Recent Projects w/ Pics

Awesome work there, especially the step stool...would it be possible to get the dimensions for that from you? If you would not mind me making one similar to it? My grandson has the same problems getting into bed and I have been fussing about what to do......
Thanks,
Tony ...

Re: Recent Projects w/ Pics

Great recovery on the entertainment center, Jeremy!

Would really like to see it with finish and in its final resting spot.

Looks like you are well on your way to completing the decorating for the new arrival. You know he is goin' to love baseball!!!

.......and that purpleheart really makes that stool! Beautiful stuff!

By the looks of things, I would say that you are in line for a wee break and a little R & R before things really get hectic.

You have really been generating some nice pieces with all of the great tool finds!

Wayne

Glad to see you could "save" the first stand.
