Has anyone ever seen red K-Body style parallel clamps that were NOT Bessey?

Re: Q about K-Body Clamps

Yeah, Peachtree sells a very cheap version, under their own name. I hope no one dislikes me enough to give me some for Christmas.

Re: Q about K-Body Clamps

Jet, Jorgensen, Woodriver (Woodcraft brand), Irwin, Stanley ... there may be others?

Re: Q about K-Body Clamps

eyekode left off Woodline -- Charles, there is a good review of parallel jaw clamps in the 2010 FWW Tools and Shops issue that just came out -- they favor the Jet and Jorgensen over the Bessey Revo KBody. Bessey was the first to make the parallel jaw clamps and in my opinion, they are the best clamps I have ever used.

Re: Q about K-Body Clamps

"Red" is an operative word here. They definitely aren't Jet, and I don't think any of the others you mentioned are red. They're either Bessey K-body or a clone.

The Woodline clamps are red and have a distinctive handle pattern.

I'd stay away from these clamps. The Jets, Bessey's etc. cost more, but they're worth it. I've done some glue-ups with these, but they're the last clamps I turn to. I'd rather wrestle with 50" Jets for a 12" glueup than use these. Not entirely worthless, but it's close.

Re: Q about K-Body Clamps

Jorgensens are the same reddish orange as the Bessy. Jorgensens have a wooden handle.

Re: Q about K-Body Clamps

I had time to look at them again more closely before the auction. They were Bessey and I won them!
