Ken Massingale Ken Massingale is online now 12-05-2008, 09:14 AM

3 Floors, 48" long, 22 inches deep and ~ 30 inches high. About 300 sq. inches of floor space. We began construction around Nov. 1. and hope the customer will have the interior carpeted, wallpapered and furnished in time for her daughters Christmas Barbie to move in on Dec. 25.

I still have to install the interior window trim, hang the curtain rods and figure something to do on the roof ridge.

Thanks for having a look.

Hey Tom,
Thanks.
Wellll, actually the inspector came by for the final sign off on the shop and we had a laugh about the dollhouse needing a permit, due to it's size.

That's awesome. Thanks for posting it Now I will have to make sure my daughter is nowhere around me when I view the site for fear that she'll see it and I will be making one next

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Naw!
I heard from a reliable source that Barb left for San Francisco with GI Jane. Poor Ken has headed for Massachusetts with Robin, and Batman is in therapy!

Do NOT let her see it, Dave. For some reason this was one of the most aggravating projects I've done.

Re: New House Almost Finished

I built one of those once, and never want to do it again. Did you do it from scratch or did you buy one of those minimal kits?

It looks great, but all those itty bitty parts make me cringe!

It's kinda from scratch. I bought the bare windows and door at miniatures.com.
The house is 1/2" ply, the window trims/shutters, corner/bottom trim and flower boxes I made from 1/4 by 1 1/2 vinyl. The roof shingles are vinyl flooring from HD.
It will sit on a base made with 2 by 4's with casters.
