I retired to NC in May of 2006 and started thinking about setting up a woodshop. Well I finelly got it completed about July for this year. After reading a lot of your posts and reading a lot of publacation and taking some classes I tackled my first project. A router table. Then I tackled some cabnets for the garage.

Here are the pictures and thank you for looking.

John

PS All of your posts have been very helpful. Thank you very much.

John,

These are some great results that should make you feel real good! Nice looking cabinetry and a well-executed job on your router table! Hope to see you join us at the next Western NC Woodworkers Association meeting this coming weekend (Saturday at 10:30 AM) so you can bone up on some additional skills as we conduct a hands-on demonstration of hand cutting dovetail joints.

John,

Your work is terrific. Where did you take the classes? What about the plans... where did you get those? Or did you make up your own?

Ray

Those cabinets look good enough to be in my kitchen instead of a workshop.

You all are to kind. Thanks for the nice comments.

As for the classes I have taken some at Woodcraft in Greenville SC.

The one that helped the most with the cabinetry was a demonstration at a woodworking show in Tampa Fl last year by Sommerfeld's Tools. The plans for the router table were taken from his Router Table DVD. The cabinets were based on his Cabinet DVD. I that cheating?

I can't make it to the Western NC Woodworkers Association meeting on Sat because I'm taking another class on Setting Up Hand Planes.

Thanks again for the great comments.

John
