This is a page from Popular Mechanics from 1933 that shows how to coil up your band saw blades.

(I think the safest way to uncoil them is throw it on the ground, btw, in case you don't know that already)

Be prepared for a good read as there's lots of good stuff in there.

Thanks for posting that, it is some interesting reading, and yes, I throw my bandsaw blades too to uncoil them.
