Ole' Stewball is looking good!
When I saw the post, I started singing the song (hopefully no one heard ). It's was a very popular tune and numerous artists covered it.

Where did you find the horsehair, can you buy that somewhere or did you just steal it off a horse?

Beautiful rocking horse!

Thank You. I purchased the plans, horse hair, glass eyes tack, and rocker hardware from The Rocking Horse Shop in England.

That is a great looking rocking horse!! Definitely in a different class than most. Has it been test ridden yet? How does that base do?

I haven't had the issues you speak of with WB lacquer. The blueish cast or the plastic look are not something I have experienced, but I have not used Crystallac only Target Coatings.

I am beginning to believe most of these manufacturers use the same or similar recipes and are just capitalizing off research the government has done and not done much of their own R&D whatsoever.

Travis

Stewball is about 10 years old and I am sure the technology has improved significantly since then. WB lacquers were relatively new at the time. Since then I have learned how to spray Poly without run problems and have never felt a need to experiment further.
