I have been taking an upholstery class over at Alamance Community College. I am covering a couch that my Grandmother had. It has proven to be a bit more of a challenge than I expected, but I am slowly getting somewhere with it. Here are some progress pictures.

Than I started stripping things down. Yuck!!!

Perhaps I got a little carried away? (But it was wiggly)

This is where I am so far.

I never thought that I would get this far!!!

Now it is time to clean up the frame. I feel comfortable with fabric and with redoing the joints, but finishes. Well that is another story.

I'll post pictures of those results next week.

Looking good so far, Upholstery, better you than me. I probably would not try that.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

Fantastic job! Looks like you are making some real progress there. Soon your dog will have a much more comfortable place to lounge and contemplate the myriad motivations of squerrils.

How do you like the ACC Upholstery class?

Thanks

The class is pretty good. The instructor is good. He works in the trade. The sewing machines are are older, but they work great. And they have most of the supplies for sale available there at the class. oh yeah. The class mates tend to be a real hoot. The comrade is great.
