The economy is slow, but my mother-in-law's restaurant (a pancake franchise) is booming I guess ... so they went out and bought a boat and a house to go with it on the lake. Must be nice!

What did I get out of the deal? Well, some work. They wanted a few signs to adorn the "shack". So this is where Sunday afternoon went ...

These are like the others I've done ... made with a router mounted to a piece of acrylic that acts like a sled. Then I follow it up with the carving chisels to flatten the high points & such.

They aren't anything fancy ... and far from fine woodworking, but they are a fun project and people really like the results usually.
