So My question is Could I use a HF Router Speed Control switch to regulate the Tempature of my Wood Burner tool?

I figure if the Speed Controler Regulates the amount of power the Router is getting to determine the speed then it should work fine for a wood burner!

But I figure I better ask here first before I go out & buy one!

Heres the Router Speed Control I wana use

Re: I have a Question about Router Speed Control switch

I just did a "Google" for "heat control for a wood burning pen" and one of the answers there was to use an ordinary light dimming switch that you can get at Lowes / HD. Less than $10 for the last ones I bought.

Make sure you check the wattage requirement of the iron and the wattage capacity of the dimmer.

I sure did! It works but from low to Med-high nothing from Med-High to High is the range the wood burner starts to get hot so it does what I need it to do as far as shading!

Re: I have a Question about Router Speed Control switch

I priced what it would cost to make one & after I bought everything it was like 25 bucks so I figured the 12 dollar router control was a better way to go!
