Re: End Tables: Now They Shine

Thank you Roger an Mike for the friendly comments. BTW, They are in the house now. Spent about two hours waxing and polishing the tops. I was afraid to leave them in the shop tomorrow with the temperature forecast to be about 84 degrees. I did not think that the tables would do well in the shop with all that heat. I brought them in and used Johnson's Paste Wax to add protection to them. They are so slick now that my bottled drink will barely sit on them. I also ran a car/furniture polisher over them. Random Orbital polisher. No gloat here, it is about twenty years old and still working just fne. I have waxed many a car with it, now I am waxing wood.

Thank all who have helped in this project and all that have added suggestions or comments to this thread.

Re: End Tables: Finally Done!!

Tracey,

Try and make a point to sign and date them (bottom of top or drawers). I am sure there will plenty of enjoyment from having these fine looking tables!

Once again...............very well done! (I need to try working with ash sometime in the not too distant future!)

Re: End Tables: Finally Done!!

Signed, Sealed, And delivered. To me of course. The neighbor said I need to make them and sell them. I am thinking; two tables, many, many hours, I am losing my ever loving !@#. Just gonna build stuff for the house and be thankful I can put the boards together and they look like something!!!!!!!

Re: End Tables: Finally Done!!

Great looking tables Tracy. Are the drawers on slides, side runners or just piston fit? Nice job on the drawer reveals too, nice and even.

The drawers are on metal drawer runners from Lowes. The heavy duty ones.
