bathroom shelves

This is a project I recently finished. It is a built-in set of adjustable shelves for our guest bathroom. The way our house was framed left a dead space between the bathtub and the interior wall of the bathroom. We needed the storage space so I cut the drywall, framed a simple header top and bottom, and built this set of shelves to fit the hole. It's made completely out of MDF with 3/8x3/8 rabbets at all interior joints for strength.

There is an ogee profile on the outside edge and corner bead on the inner edges and the top edge of each shelf. The shelves are also adjustable. Building this project I was reminded of how much I do not like painting projects; however, LOML is happy and that really is all that matters.

J

Re: bathroom shelves

Looks like a nice project Jay. Projects for the house are always challenging to get just right but it looks like you hit the nail on the head!!
