A pair of boxes from the Lois Ventura book per a family member’s request. (Lots and lots of sanding). Althought I enjoy making the boxes from books I like being able to use my imagination and personalize each box so I can say they are my boxes.

Walnut with red flocked drawers and about 8 coats of a wipe on poly finish over a dark walnut Danish oil. Did I mention lots and lots of sanding?

Thanks for looking.

Re: Another bandsaw box

Thanks

Glenn, I use the tube spray to pump the flocking onto the paste/glue.

Cathy, It has about 8 coats of a home-brew wipe on poly finish over a Watco dark walnut Danish oil.

Re: Another bandsaw box

Wow, definitely good use of your imagination. Now this is the kind of round woodworking I can relate to! Except the sanding part of course The finish looks gorgeous.

Re: Another bandsaw box

Thank you all for your kind words.

Keye, I used a 3/16 10TPI blade. It was slow going on a block of this size, but gives a smoother cut then a 1/4 blade and that means less sanding. Although sometimes I wonder.
