Moderator There has been discussion on another thread about possibly having another North Carolina Woodworker get together. I think a location somewhere betwixed Raleigh and Charlotte would be a good location unless there are other suggestions. It looks like Asheboro would be a good midpoint.
Suggested date:
January 20th
January 27th
February 3rd
Does anyone know of places to eat in Asheboro? I will do some checking also.

Maybe that would be a good weekend for B4man to have her stew. What do you think Barbara? I may be able to borrow a large kettle for a day. I am trying the poll again. Let's see how it goes and we will probably set a couple meeting times for those that want to meet.

I've been waiting for this! Actually, one of our members' wife has agreed to sell a pot she has and I'm going to look at it Thursday. The only deal breaker would be if it isn't large enough.
I began considering the idea of having the stew when the thread first appeared. Here is my conflict with the show date...We will be in Raleigh on the 17th for a dinner. To do a stew we need a Saturday from dawn until.
I'll do the stew for the group, just not then but we should still try and meet up on the 16th. It's the first show I will be in town for in 2 years. I'm going
Thanks Mike and make sure you save a little venison for the stew, OK? |

January 27 @ Lunch HayTay, poppop
February 3 @ Lunch cskipper, DaveO, HayTay, Partman, Terry
February 16 @ Lunch cskipper, gator, jmauldin
February 16 @ 6:00 P.M. b4man, ccccarving, DaveO, Tarhead
I am not sure it is feasible for the January 27th lunch to happen since Haytay and poppop are so far from each other. I do believe that the other 3 dates and times are possible.
So.........I would suggest this...Let's have the February 3rd group start their own thread to coordinate lunch for that date. For the rest that have voted for lunch or dinner at the TSI Expo we will need to set a time for lunch and anyone that wants to have lunch just show up. We will also leave the 6:00 time open and if you can make it great.
How does that sound? Let me know.

I didn't realize the 16th was a Friday. We can't get off work for lunch and couldn't make it for dinner that day either.
