Moderator There has been discussion on another thread about possibly having another North Carolina Woodworker get together. I think a location somewhere betwixed Raleigh and Charlotte would be a good location unless there are other suggestions. It looks like Asheboro would be a good midpoint.
Suggested date:
January 20th
January 27th
February 3rd
Does anyone know of places to eat in Asheboro? I will do some checking also.

I could probably work it to be up that way on Friday evening. I will plan on leaving work a little early and being in Greensboro around 6:00. Where are we eating?
I am going to add 6:00 Feb 16th to the poll so those that want the TSI date can vote for the 16th.
How does that sound?

I've changed the dates a little due to feedback and hopefully we can decide on a good time to meet.
I would like to throw my .02 cents in on the vote. I put lunch on Feb 16th but, that is the only time I can't make it. I would really like to meet everyone so the alternative is meeting for dinner after the TSI expo.
I look forward to your feedback.

It would be worth it to call in sick that day. Tell them you've got Woodguy's disease and attend the show. It and the Klingspor show are all we have in NC. Stamey's BBQ across from the GSO Convention Center was a good place for the North Carolina Woodworker lunch last year. I can be there for lunch or dinner.

This needs to be corrected to be fair to all! Terry

How does 6:00 P.M. Friday February 16th sounds for everyone to meet for dinner? We can eat at Stamey's BBQ across from the GSO Convention Center.

I am too new to take off a weekday and since we're basically working in Greenville it would be at least 3 1/2 to 4 hours to get there.

I think we may just have to have several meetings. The weekend would be much easier for me too but, if a lot of people are going to be in G'boro for the TSI Expo I will make the drive up Friday.

The event has gotten much smaller over the years, and unfortunately, so have the number of vendors who cater (and offer deals) to woodworkers with a small shop. I just got the mag in the mail today, have not read through it yet....
Best to all,
Tony ...
