There has been discussion on another thread about possibly having another North Carolina Woodworker get together. I think a location somewhere betwixed Raleigh and Charlotte would be a good location unless there are other suggestions. It looks like Asheboro would be a good midpoint.

Suggested date:
January 20th
January 27th
February 3rd

Does anyone know of places to eat in Asheboro? I will do some checking also.

For the past two or three years, several NCWWers have gone to the Greensboro show on the Friday.

Re: NCWW Winter Gathering

Boy, I hate to ask, but what's the TSI show? There is a woodworking show in Atlanta on the weekend of the 27th that I want to go to, but other weekends are available.

TSI

TSI Expos

A show really aimed at the small to medium cabinet or furniture shop but usually pretty interesting even though it has shrunk in the last few years from what it used to be. It costs to get in but I'm sure that a code or codes will be posted soon to use on the on-line registration form which makes it no charge.

Rock-Ola
America's Roadhouse
San Felipe Mexican Restaurant
Fire Mountain
Golden Corral
McDonald's
Burger King
Wendy's
Taco Bell
Hardee's
Arby's
Pizza Hut
CiCi's Pizza
Sagebrush Steakhouse
Sir Pizza
Chick-Fil-A
IHOP
KFC
Quiznos'
Bamboo Garden Oriental Restaurant
Bob's Backyard BBQ
Blue Mist Barbecue Restaurant
La Hacienda Restaurante
K & W Cafeteria (HWY 220 a few exits south of HWY 64)

All of these are on, or right off of HWY 64 (Dixie Dr) except as noted, to the best of my knowlege. There are many more in and around Asheboro, but I thought I'd keep the list as close to the main thouroughfare as possible. The restaurants are in no particular order. The list is the result of a mental drive through Asheboro and back again.

Re: NCWW Winter Gathering

Thanks HayTay! I think we should try and eat at a locally owned restaurant instead of a chain. Have any suggestions?

Also, we only have 5 votes total.

2 - Jan 20th
3 - Feb 3

We need you to vote so we can make this happen.

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.

That leaves:
America's Roadhouse
Blue Mist Bar-B-Q Restaurant
Bob's Backyard BBQ
Bamboo Garden Oriental Restaurant
and maybe:
La Hacienda Restaurante
San Felipe Mexican Restaurant
K & W Cafeteria
Fire Mountain
Sir Pizza (would probably be last on my list)

Will any of these have a room we can use and tie up for longer than a normal meal?

Re: NCWW Winter Gathering

I can call around and find out if any of the listed places have room for a larger crowd and let everyone know.
