Re: New (baby) woodworker updates?
My little girl is still in utero... Oct 3 is D-day. I am about to glue up her crib, probably tomorrow evening. I'll post some pics once I have more than a pile of parts. Its the same plan ptt49er made but I am using maple and walnut.

Re: New (baby) woodworker updates?
Well where do I start? Little David Noah Garner is going great! He had his first well-baby check up and is almost 11 pounds now. He is sleeping at least 4 hrs every night which is great for mom and dad. (He sleeps right next to dad every night, I know I know, but hey who knows when I will deploy or be gone again!) He is doing the usual baby stuff, spitting up on dad, peeing on dad when he is changing his diaper, ohh and the best is pooping on dad when giving him a bath after picking him up out of the water,,lol. I am trying to do as much as I can so that Sarah, (the better part of the relationship) can get some rest and enjoy her time off. I am trying to get some stuff done in the shop though to pay for her last month of leave, it is without pay. I have one job building a coffee table out of purple heart, but it wont cover her check for the month. So throw some prayers up for me to get a couple more jobs in the next month or so, and pray for continued health for all three of my little Irish boys. Here is a pic of the Baby David, he is taking a nap on Big Brother Dylan Christian!!

Re: New (baby) woodworker updates?
Phil, Looks like all is going well with your little ones! Glad everyone is home and doing well!!
As for Joel, he is doing great! As Micheal's little one is doing, he is sleeping in 3 or 4 hour spurts at night. He's eating like a champ too, I cannot believe how much formula and diapers this little one can go through! Here's an updated pic.

Cathy, It's been there for a while. Long enough I've forgotten how long it's been.
Steve, Your visit sounds like it was a blast. It's amazing how quickly they change isn't it.

Yes, it was. My grandaughter who is 16 brought her out. We're taking them out to RDU for the trip back in about an hour.

Re: New (baby) woodworker updates?
I've been itching to add a picture of my 16 month old grandson, Ridley, who lives in Apex. He just had a cochlear implant yesterday at UNC Hospital and is doing fine. He was born without an auditory nerve in his right ear and is profoundly deaf in the left, only hearing sounds in mid-range frequencies starting at 85 decibels (the point at which normal hearing persons need to add hearing protection). He'll have a check up later this week and will have the external electronics activated for the first time on September 14th. Despite his inability to hear now, he is a very happy baby and is a real delight!

Re: New (baby) woodworker updates?
Steve, your grandson is one handsome boy. I love how little kids sleep in the "touch-down" position, that has always cracked me up.
Wow, there are so many beautiful/handsome babies being generated by the members and family of this site, it almost makes me want to have another one...nawww, that would really cut into the shop time

Honestly Honey, that will cost around $100 $150 $200, and I need a few more tools.
